The Hermosa Beach Historical Society & Museum proudly presents Morgan Sliff as the guest speaker for our next Happy Hour with History event.
Morgan grew up in Hermosa Beach, and exemplifies the spirit of this town that no one can exactly describe, it is just felt. What had initially started out as a 365 Days of Surfing project, has now in the blink of an eye turned into 1,000 days. Inspired by the life changing art of surfing, Morgan will share her experiences of 1,000 days of surfing.
Please join us at the Hermosa Beach Museum at 6:00pm on June 28th for an inspirational and feel good night of drinks and talk.
We hope to see you for the perfect event to kick off your summer season- this is not a night to miss!

The Hermosa Beach Historical Society (HBHS) is pleased to announce our very own Cheryll Lynn as our next Happy Hour with History speaker. We've all seen gals in twirling skirts and guys in suits swinging out! But, what was it really like? Cheryll is a museum docent and avid swing dancer, and her presentation will include lively photographs and research from the Hermosa Beach Museum archives.
As a special treat, Cheryll, along with Scott McNabb, will also conduct a beginner-friendly lesso...
Make your way to the Hermosa Beach Museum on Thursday night December 8, 2016 from 6-8pm for a presentation from Skateboarding Hall of Famer Cindy Whitehead! Grab a beer, sit back, relax, and learn about your local history!
While growing up in Hermosa Beach, Cindy conquered the male dominated profession of pro vert skateboarding in the 70's, and quickly became one of the top ranked professional female vert skateboarders in the U.S. for pool riding and half-pipe.
Cindy has since gone on to coin the term "Sports Stylist®," working as a fashion stylist for the past 25 years.
Cindy’s goal is to give women in action sports the same opportunities and recognition as their male counterparts. She pursues that goal daily through her brand, "Girl is NOT a 4 Letter Word," and by interviewing and promoting female action sports athletes on her website http://www.girlisnota4letterword.com.
